With winter approaching, the skies are darkening earlier and earlier. Now is a perfect time to grab a book and enjoy the health benefits of reading as well as the feel-good vibes. Reading has been proven to reduce stress, improve memory and also improve focus and concentration. While e-books and online articles are great for portability and ease of use, there is nothing better than the smell of a new book. Studies also show that turning a physical page can also lead to better understanding and memory of the page you just read, as it serves as a contextual focus point for your brain.

So in line with our offline focus from last couple of blogs, why not have a ‘stay-cation’ over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend and curl up with a new book – open fireplace optional?

Long weekends are a great opportunity to relax and rejuvenate throughout the year. They also improve productivity at work, so now you can enjoy them even more!  This list is a great place to start dreaming of your ultimate long weekend getaway, but sometimes taking the time to relax and enjoy your local treats can be just as rewarding.
