Machinery of Government Systems Consolidation

Machinery of Government Systems Consolidation

over 2 years ago by INDEX

INDEX was engaged to undertake Domain Architecture delivery services to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). The Department had a number of legacy and disparate systems as a result of the merger of Immigration and Customs in late 2015.

At an Architecture level, the Department had a number of IT challenges in determining which systems would remain and which systems would be newly developed. The environment had a large number of interrelated systems.

The skills and experience our consultants bring to the client in delivering this work include:

  • CRM Architecture, Design and Implementation
  • Business Analysis
  • Team and Project Management
  • Project Management
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM (3.0, 4.0, 2011, 2015)
  • Microsoft SQL (2005, 2008) & Reporting Services
  • Microsoft SharePoint (2003, 2007, 2010, 2013)
  • Javascript, JQuery, oData, XML, CSS, T-SQL, C#
  • Microsoft Exchange (2003, 2007, 2010)

The Lead Domain Architect services are developing technology and system roadmaps and blueprints for the Compliance and Enforcement capabilities. Our Consultants are providing guidance and advice to Executives, programme teams, project delivery teams and other stakeholders in relation to architecture within their domain. INDEX is also providing quality assurance on the architecture artefacts ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, while adhering to the client’s architecture and standards to allow governance board approval.

The INDEX team is working with DIBP stakeholders across the Department to undertake a comprehensive review. Initial findings uncovered a number of additional complexities, and a broader investigation is now underway.
